OP-ED: Anti-American rhetoric set the stage for the U.S. Consulate shooting
"Our feckless leaders and our weak police force have turned Canada — and its largest city, Toronto — into an international embarrassment."
We should be very proud of ourselves in the so-called Land of the Free.
We made Fox News on Tuesday morning over the overnight shooting at the U.S. Consulate on Toronto’s University Ave.
The station actually carried the press conference live with a member of the RCMP senior brass and that obnoxious, newly appointed deputy chief Frank Barredo.
While still arrogant, this time Barredo had appeared to change his tune, implying that the shooting may have been part of a pattern that saw three synagogues shot at in the past week.
One was my own, Temple Emanu-El, now actively engaged in a rebuilding campaign.
The RCMP honcho refused to call it an act of terrorism.
Of course, he would not, seeing as our Prime Minister Mark Carney likes to rub shoulders with countries harbouring terrorist factions, the latest being Lebanon.
Carney – who has barely been in Canada from his last trip to India, Australia and Japan long enough to pack for his next voyage to Norway – is better off being out of Canada.
Considering how little he’s done to protect the country’s Jewish community, or to run the country for that matter, he’s far better off munching on shrimp and caviar on the government plane on the way to somewhere far away from here.
Mind you, he is adept at posting on social media about how much he’s on top of the problem.
This appeared Tuesday morning:
.
I especially loved this part about the “Incident Response Group”:
“This weekend, our government’s Incident Response Group reviewed potential changes to the threat landscape in Canada and underlined the importance of continued vigilance to enhance domestic security.”
He, too, is late to the party, like Toronto’s mayor.
All those flights through various time zones and all that chomping on delicacies must have diverted his attention from what’s been going on in our major urban centres for 2.5 years.
It’s also a bit rich to talk about security threats, considering he’s just cozied up to China and Qatar and has let in all kinds of refugees from Gaza who loathe us.
Don’t get me started on Premier Doug Ford, who issued his predictable post about bringing the perpetrators to justice.
First, this sellout has to recognize the province has a problem.
Then he has to tamp down his anti-American rhetoric.
Finally, he has to get the OPP under his control to catch these terrorist sympathizers.
To date, he has done none of the above.
Mayor Olivia Chow posted not a word about the latest shooting, which is probably a good thing.
She has become such an embarrassment, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Never mind that all of these shootings will do wonderful things for Toronto tourism (said tongue in cheek).
The Americans get it.
An analyst on Fox News said this shooting was entirely predictable.
The weak Toronto Police Service stand idly by — repeatedly — while terrorist sympathizers shout their anti-American, anti-Semitic slogans in front of the U.S. Consulate.
For years now, it has been Ground Zero for Islamic hate, that’s of course, when the terrorist wannabes aren’t harassing the Jewish community.
There has been no political will to recognize that free speech has turned into hate speech.
The Elbow’s Up idiots are so busy hating America and all things American, they can’t see the chaos and violence in front of their noses.
Our feckless leaders and our weak police force have turned Canada — and its largest city, Toronto — into an international embarrassment.

Spot on! And now that a ndp turncoat is crossing the floor to marx and he is likely to win at least two of three pending byelections, he will have his evil majority. Let the authoritarianism level jump to overdrive.
How about the Al-Quds Day hate marches scheduled this Sunday in Toronto and other Canadian cities? The IRCG is a designated terrorist organization and yet these same feckless politicians won't stop yet another incendiary hatefest targeting the US, Israel and the Jewish community, and our own country. EVEN London, with its Muslim mayor, has put a stop to Sunday's event. What are the odds it'll proceed as planned with Olivia Chow donning a keffiyeh and dancing in the streets of Toronto?
