The Waterloo Region District School Board attempted to remove a parent’s objection to land acknowledgements from its official Parent Involvement Committee meeting minutes.
Aren't school boards elected by citizens to represent issues that are educationally relevant, they are supposed to be the parental representatives so this is apalling

Thank you to Geoff Horsman for his moral courage....which I believe is inspired by the Holy Spirit! Regardless of belief, I know those moments when it seems easier to avoid risk to reputation, peace, and livelihood and choose silence over courage. So, praise God for you Geoff. You have my prayers and support. As Chair of a School Council, I will watch this case with interest. During a meeting last year, one of our Council members said our residential schools were equal to Auschwitz and that we had burned children in ovens. We had a student at the table. I pushed back on this and challenged him. Two days later, I got a phone call from the Principal and a warning. The rot from this lie runs deep.
School boards are essentially composed of parents and community members. Many of them have children, so they are a family unit. Why are they buying into this rhetoric, or are they so afraid of being fired for voicing their opinion? What I would like to know who the people are fuelling this rhetoric, and what is their ultimate goal? Some real hard investigative work has to be done to expose these people (criminals) to understand their ulterior motive. They are using all the tools in the book to instill fear as a way to manipulate the masses. The silent majority are hugely responsible for this mess. The world suffers a lot. Those parents need to learn to sit down and be quiet .... Kindergarten children need to learn properly about transphobia before it's too late
