Unlike the Federal Liberals, the Ontario Liberal party’s leadership rules currently permit international students and temporary workers, including non-citizens and non-permanent residents, to vote for the next leader.

The Ontario Liberal party neglected to change its rules to prevent non-citizens and non-permanent residents from voting in the upcoming leadership race, meaning temporary residents could help determine who Ontario’s next premier is, as first reported by iPolitics.
