Nurse fined $22,000 for comments on COVID-19, BLM and Indigenous patients

The B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives ruled his comments to be racially insensitive and discriminatory.

A former B.C. nurse has been ordered to pay nearly $22,000 over comments he made about the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter protests, and complaints from Indigenous patients.

Sean Taylor was fired over his statements in 2021 after practicing for more than 15 years as a registered nurse. In 2022, he let his registration lapse, stating he has no intention of returning to the profession.
