Prime Minister Mark Carney left the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday and headed back to Canada without meeting U.S. President Donald Trump, despite both leaders being present in the Swiss resort town on the same day.

According to their respective public itineraries, there was a clear overlap in Davos, but no bilateral meeting was scheduled or announced.
