The first thing I heard was his notably altered speech pattern and style. There was a very pronounced difference from his norm. All the meaningless salad of weasel words were still there, but spoken very slowly, with frequent pauses. It's as though someone had given him instruction on how to eliminate the endless UM and ER interjections so common to all his speeches.
But he was still unable to do it seamlessly. The UMs and ERs were still there, just silent. That other part was still there, though - the palpable arrogance he secretes that is part of his DNA and simply cannot be hidden or even obscured.
And in the final part, he attempted to inject some absolutely ludicrous, doomsday-like drama by dragging out his ... New ... World ... Order ... one word at a time, over 5 or 6 seconds. All that was missing from that performance was the base drum thundering out BOOM! ... DOOM! ... BOOM! ... DOOM!
I wonder if he didn't learn that from his "Elbows up" collaboration with Mike Myers. Myers may have told him to imitate his Dr. Evil character from one of the boring, tedious, Austin Powers movies - for dramatic effect.
