The Conservative Party of British Columbia and the governing BC NDP are locked in a dead heat for first place among decided voters, according to a new Research Co. provincial poll.

The online survey shows both major parties tied at 42 per cent support provincewide. The BC Green Party trails at 9 per cent, while newer parties such as Centre BC and OneBC remain at 3 per cent and 2 per cent respectively.

Despite ongoing narratives of internal friction within the conservative movement, the data suggests the BC Conservatives have maintained a stable electoral base while also drawing support from other parties.

An overwhelming 89 per cent of British Columbians who voted for the BC Conservatives in the 2024 provincial election say they intend to remain with the party. That compares with an 84 per cent retention rate among 2024 BC NDP voters.
