NDP elect Avi Lewis as new federal leader

The New Democrat Party has a new leader after activist and former CBC host Avi Lewis won on the first ballot, with 56 per cent of attendees’ support.
The party announced the victory on the final day of the party’s leadership convention this weekend, which was rife with woke interruptions, declarations of oppressed identities and where members complained that white males were speaking too much.
