MP running for Ontario Liberal leader vies for anti-Israel vote
Ontario Liberal leadership hopeful and MP Nate Erskine-Smith released a campaign video on social media highlighting his record, accusing Israel of genocide in an attempt to appeal to Muslim voters.
Liberal MP Nate Erskine-Smith released a campaign video for his bid to lead the Ontario Liberal Party, urging Muslim voters to consider his record and accusing Israel of committing genocide in its war against the terrorist group Hamas.
He is expected to run in the Scarborough Southwest provincial riding, previously held by newly elected Liberal MP Doly Begum. In 2021, Muslims made up 18.1 per cent of the riding’s population, while Jewish residents accounted for 0.5 per cent.
