On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show News Update, Candice dissects Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s big speech at the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto. Poilievre looked confident and in control as he masterfully critiqued the Liberal government and its pivot towards China.

Candice then takes aim at Liberal MP Adam van Koeverden who scolded Conservatives in the House of Commons for not knowing that the real cause of food inflation is… climate change. The internet quickly fact-checked this absurd claim and pointed out that Canada’s food inflation is literally double that of other G7 nations. Oops.
Next, Candice discusses the problem with foreign aid and the bigger problem of CPC mixed-messaging on this issue. The Liberals have already pounced and cut an ad trying to embarrass the Conservatives for apparent contradictions. The ad, of course, is highly misleading, but could be effective nonetheless.
