Aaron's reasoning sounds accurate.

Besides...

BC may be a totally lost cause, as Canada may soon be.

Perhaps there may be a chance to save Canada Federally...

JUST PERHAPS.

... AND ... If there is that chance it would be good to have Aaron in Ottawa to fight the incompetent rats who form the Liberal Party of Canada, currently joined by two rats who abandoned those who voted for them as Conservatives.

.. Best of luck Aaron...

At the moment you made the correct call.

I’m living in BC. The problem of BC Conservative Party having right now is its behaviour in BC Legislation showing Conservative supporters more like a Liberal than Conservative. Even their interim leader is considered more liberal than John.

From the eyes of conservatives, BC Conservative is just a name. It’s not a political party representing conservative values.

Indeed.

The OntArWeOwe DOUG FRAUD PC Model.

Whatever this buffoon and his party is they are not Conservatives.

Fraud and his party's saving grace.

The Ontario Lieberals and complete idiots, fools and morons.

The NDP is even more despicable.

So relatively in what used to be Ontario...

Fraud wins by default which is a shame.

AND

A SHAME perfectly describes Doug Fraud to the tee.

SO YEP....

You have the same model and the only difference is that at least in OntArWeOwe one term of the NDP back in the 1990's and Boob Rae was more than enough.

Of course and perfectly laughable.

Boob Rae is now a Liberal and sits as Canada's representative in the Useless Nations.

Makes sense since Useless serves Useless and represents Useless.

Being a party leader is a very tough job. Aaron’s reasons for staying in the House of Commons are spot on.

This will be a good test of the Conservative Party of BC, and especially, how it will deal with Dallas Brodie and the 1 BC party. And there is a high probability that Eby will call a provincial election in January, while the two other parties are in difficulty.

Knocking on doors is the best way to get a candidate elected.

How refreshing to see a politician put the people he represents above his ego. Sound reasoning from a sensible young man. He puts a little spark of hope into the future…..

Good call Aaron...BC politics and voters are in their own class of crazy and delusion....Stick with the federal conservatives and your political journey will be a lot more meaningful...To heck with the crazy train of BC, its politics and its nutbar voters, they are going downhill fast and furious.....

I am very thankful for the decision Aaron Gunn has made. He has smarts, integrity and humility. This decision has placed our country ahead his own ego ... something sorely lacking in the current federal government. The federal Conservative team, led by Pierre Poilievre is stacked with others with the same impressive qualities. I can't wait for a majority Conservative Government. The future of our once prosperous, strong and free depends on it.

Any chance of cloning Aaron?

Unfortunate, but his reasons sound correct.

Good for Canada as CPC won’t be handing Carney a majority by default. Bad for BC as Gunn would be a strong opponent to the socialist NDP and their communist partners. I’m thinking Gunn can fight the NDP in BC from his seat in Ottawa.

Good, it seems to me most of the BC conservatives come from the old liberal party...I have not been impressed by to many BC conservatives...It is time to weed these liberal out...Aaron maybe come across as a conservative, but I think he would be another John Rustad - ex-liberal!

I am not sure about Aaron Gunn because I do not live in Powell River but im pretty sure that he won't be able to do much for his constituents in Ottawa ... If he's good at the political game he should focus on local politics if he wants to make a positive difference

Brent's avatar

Aaron is an ex-liberal, I have no faith in him what-so-ever...Most of the BC conservatives are ex-liberals...I have a very bleak outlook for BC...Voters sailed this ship and voters will go down with the ship and politicians and bureaucrats will remain safe on dry land...reminiscent of the rest of Canada, AB included!

Kwong Law's avatar

Brent, you banged on. I’m living in BC. The leftist supporters are much more the right. There are numbers of ex-liberals as BC Conservative MLA right now. In my opinion, they should rename their party to BC Liberals rather than BC Conservative.

Anthony Tasker's avatar

Well... I liked John Rustad ... I thought he was a sincere person ... he built up the conservatives party very quickly and I am sure there were some traitors in there .. I think it is important to remember that there are good people out there ... Unfortunately most of them (us) don't do enough to change things ... Maybe now is a good time to start trying to change things ...

Smart Move Aaron Gunn because we do not need a majority in the Liberals and the Federal Conservatives need you! Please help to build a strong Conservative twm in BC to compete against the. NDP! Eby is weak and. has not worked to reduce crimesupport pipelines and work with all other provinces! Eby wants to go to the poles while the. Conservatives have no member leader so important to put emphasis on that immediately!

A shame Arron would make a solid leader of BC people.

Good call, hopefully the BC conservatives let the MPs Rustad kicked out back in, we don't need to dplit the vote now, the next election is critical..ndp win then I will have to sell (before the nanoose indian cabal lay claim to my land thus rendering it worthless) and move to AB while I still can.

A thoughtful decision. Excellent.

1.4 billion would feed 80,000 Canadian families for a whole year. A better use of funds imho
