Most Canadians cite tariffs and taxes as biggest financial burdens

Most Canadians feel that retaliatory tariffs imposed on the United States have increased their cost of living, and that their current tax burden has lowered their quality of life.

According to a new study from the Montreal Economic Institute, more than half of Canadians (54 per cent) feel Ottawa is spending too much, while only six per cent think the government is spending too little.
