More taxpayer-funded 'news'?
Kris Sims is joined by longtime journalist and former CRTC vice-chair Peter Menzies to discuss what's next for the legacy media in 2026
Host Kris Sims is joined by longtime journalist and former CRTC vice-chair Peter Menzies to discuss the year in journalism, and what might be coming in 2026.
Will the legacy media continue to take government hand-outs from the very government they’re supposed to be scrutinizing? How does that affect their news coverage?
And what is the state of the independent media, which refuses to accept taxpayer-dollars.
All this and more on this episode of ‘The Fighter.’
P.S. We are in the final days of our $150,000 year-end fundraiser. So far, we have raised $132,000, with just $18,000 to go before the end of the year. If you value interviews like this and want to help us expand our newsroom, launch new projects, and defend our journalism, today is a powerful moment to step up.

They should all be placed into Bankruptcy followed by PRISON for lying to Canadians and Illegally presenting themselves as "journalists!"
A crime is committed every time they appear, open their mouths, write a corrupt article and generally commit fraud on the Canadian public, of which, an obvious majority is brain dead enough to listen and read their rubbish.
It’s so obvious and they don’t care. What does that tell you?
Anybody out there?????
