The Canadian military is moving to acquire new low-cost drones and unmanned ground vehicles as it expands its use of unmanned systems.
The Department of National Defence posted procurement notices seeking “Low-Cost Uncrewed Aircraft Systems” classified as military drones and “Complex Terrain Uncrewed Ground Vehicle” systems.
The ground vehicles are intended for “tactical load carriage and operational experimentation in complex terrain environments,” according to DND.
