Lapu-Lapu memorial in Vancouver: X

Memorials were held across Vancouver to honour the victims of the tragedy at last year’s Lapu-Lapu Day festival, which resulted in the deaths of 11 people after a man drove his car through the crowd.

A formal wreath-laying organized by the Philippine Nurses Association of B.C. was held at the site around 8 p.m. on Sunday at Mountain View Cemetery, near the scene of the incident at Fraser and East 41st Ave. There was also a memorial mass at St. Mary’s Parish.
