Removing him from some committee is a slap on the wrist. I would go even further than firing him, which should happen next, as he is clearly unfit to be a teacher. I would deport him. Ideally, he would be sent to Gaza to live with Hamas. See how they treat him. These are terrorists who hate the West and regard people like him as useful idiots, which of course they are. It should not be considered acceptable for teachers to take the position that Israelis or Jews should be murdered by Islamic terrorists -- and yet, incredibly, that is what this teacher is doing. It's often said that the limits of free speech are when it becomes open advocacy for violence. Endorsing terrorism is advocacy for violence.

Yes the professor should be fired. But then the Canadian Liberals is the root cause of antisemitism including recognizing the State of Palestine.

The Liberals are supporting these terrorists and yes Canada is a safe haven for all and any criminals. The Liberals have decimated Canada pushing communism.

Canada will or is the “second China” !!

Yes and the CCP will not tolerate what they believe to be an ‘inferior culture.’ The fact that our North American culture is based on freedom and Christian values will ensure we are sent to labour camps in the northern tundra. Muslims should also fear the CCP. If one does not worship the ‘Party’ the result is Uyghurs style re-education camps. For Democrats and other liberals who are unaware, The Uyghurs are a Muslim ethnic group in China, primarily located in the Xinjiang region, where the Chinese government has detained over a million Uyghurs in what it calls "re-education camps." These camps are criticized internationally for human rights abuses, including forced labor, indoctrination, and severe restrictions on religious and cultural practices.

Canada has fallen.

Long live Canada.

What a sad thing to have to witness.

Why does it seem this fall is lead not only from Ottawa but from the ranks of most Canadian Universities, lead most of the time by McGill.

Parents unless you want your children radicalized in support of terrorism, and you paying the bill to do so, stop sending your children to these radicalized institution's. They are telling you everything you need to know right to your face.

Should be charged with treason. If he had advocated fighting on the side of Germany during WWII, I think that would have been the consequence.

How could a professor fall for the terrorist propaganda? Certainly doesn't belong in education at any level.

Canada needs leadership that makes all forms of “wokism” illegal and punishable by law! Wokism, I.e., Marxism is full blown communism! Tell this to ALL Canadians!! Terrorist organizations like Antifa indoctrinate the vulnerable to believe in violence, killings, degenerate LGBQ beliefs, hatred for Christians. Take some time and investigate the operations and goals of Antifa. It will shock you, and turn your stomach! This stuff is against the law under President Trump. But here in Canada, it’s promoted as normal, a way of life, by a degenerate PM Carney!!

As an alumnus, McGill will not get 'one red cent' (pun intended) from me in the future until they clean up their act. Diversity of opinion is fine, but not so far as to endorse actual terrorists. Shame on them

So, freedom of speech is only ok if you support the right kind of terrorists, like the current Israeli government & IDF. Oh, they are not on Canada's official terrorist list. I guess that means they're good guys. Real freedom of speech means it's ok to offend "Jewish defense" groups. Why is it that institutional officials always ask 'how high?' when a Jewish defense group tells the to 'jump!' ?

Oh, ya. It's because they don't want to wind up like Charlie Kirk.

(please note there is nothing in the above rant that offers any support to any terrorist group anywhere - not pro-Hamas, ok. Just pro free speech)

You are right no Jewish group is on the Canadian terrorist list, because they are not terrorist organizations. It is not that complicated if you try to think for yourself.

Israel is a terrorist state. If you look at what they do (and have done from the start) instead of listening to what officials & the media tell you, and do a little thinking yourself, it will be clear to you to.

Interesting when I travelled extensively throughout the Middle East between 1975 and 2013, while in an Islamic country, I never heard any air raid sirens in the middle of the night, people went into grocery stores, used buses and entered other public establishments without fear of a bomb exploding. However, in Israel I experienced or observed all of the aforementioned, in fact I was advised to always stay in a hotel in the "arab" quarters of Israel as there was no danger of any bomb exploding by some "wanna be martyr". Now you tell me who is the terrorist entity there, perhaps , sir you best give your head a little shake.

You know that Jewish militias terrorized Palestinians in the years after WWII, supplied by American weapons obtained by the Jewish mafia. They did this to displace arabic families so that they could occupy the territories. British aristocrats were happy to support the Rothschilds project of creating the state of Israel in those territories. It gave them a place to send away their own and other European Jews. The terrorist Jewish militias were consolidated to form the IDF. Every leader of Israel, for the next 50 years, was an ex-member of those terrorist militias. Along with the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians since then, Israel assassinates more foreigners than all other nations combined. The most infamous assassination is JFK. Likely the most recent is Charlie Kirk.

And if your nation had spent the last 70 years killing all its neighbours, it would most certainly feel threatened by them. They've earned it.

Not that I agree with you biased version of history, but for the sake of argument, what do you see as a reasonable and permanent solution to the issue?

The solution that Rabin & Arafat were discussing before they got taken out would be a good starting point. The 2 state solution that Bibi and his rabid dogs are vehemently opposed to. Those guys want Gaza, Jordan, and parts of Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, among other lands to form a Greater Israel. There are plenty of rational Israelis that could be relied on to work something out with their neighbours. These guys are psychos.

Look, just because we all grew watching good guys vs bad guys on tv, it doesn't mean that's the way it is in the real world. People who bomb civilians are not good guys and that's happening on both sides of this conflict.

This was an excellent debate. I raise my hand for Lorne Beaudette. As an aside, the leftist narrative espoused by Pierre real and sadly quite powerful as is the anti-semitism that is pervasive in leading universities. When professors brainwash their students with false narratives and reward them with high marks for supporting the narrative, the big lie spills over into society, the streets, businesses, media and families.
