First... YES... Trump totally deserves to get called out on his most ignorant comments about Canada's and NATO's military contributions.

Not really a surprise though with Trump and as one might know if one read history the American's were single handedly responsible for taking Europe back in WWII... Just ask them.

It's an American thing don't ya know and YES... One thing Trump fails at often is any semblance of knowing history or doing his homework... It may be an intentional show with him. You knever know.. He always has an agenda.

In any case... As far as the Board of Peace and Carney's invite removal....

Probably a good move on Trump's part.

As to whether this Peace Board works the UN, WHO, WEF, etc. has to be not only defanged but destroyed, eliminated, and basically GONE.

If that happens the fraud who is Canada's PM has nothing to stand on and nowhere to go.

Carney didn't deserve a seat there.

All he likely would have done is what he does almost daily...

Sabotage things. He is very good at that.

It is most unfortunate that in the eyes of most of the world Carney is Canada.

His ego-ness certainly believes that but how would he know he does not as he is hardly in the country he is supposed to be the head of.

With Canada's last two PM's there was sadly a theme that ends poorly for any country.

That theme occurs when their leaders actually think they are the smartest person in the room.

That theme is not restricted of course to Canada and perhaps it's part of the job description.

However... Having said that a couple of things.

The first is if you are a world leader and you think that you had better be able to back things up.

The next, specially with Canada.

In 2015 Canada elected a complete fool who thought that and wasn't even close and more akin the the Wizard of Oz's Scarecrow pre-brain.

Now Canada has a guy who is certainly credentialed but intellect does not mean smart.

Carney has an ego that makes the sock jerk look like an amateur.

That also goes for the narcissistic traits Carney exhibits almost daily.

As a bonus the Carney can add megalomaniac to the list of traits he holds.

There is nothing in the above that bodes well for Canada going forward.

Good on Trump for the INVITATION withdrawal.

Carney earned that in spades.

Yep , We can save a billion dollars that We do not have . That I can thank Donald for his withdrawl. As far as carnage is concerned Wlliam S. You are correct, sad to say.

Don

Spending billions that Canada does not have has not stopped the incompetent Liberals especially when, as has been the case, those billions are spent not to any benefit of Canada or Canadians.

Your point however is quite valid.

This column is excellent (President Trump is tearing down the international order UN, WHO, WEF. The board of peace is the new UN security counsel.):

This was indeed an amazing interview with someone who has been in the thick of things for a long time. On the subject of honouring our miltary, especially those in the front lines, I remember being on Parliament Hill with 100,000 other people, wearing red in support of our troops, who were losing their lives in Afghanistan. To this day, if you were to meet me on the street, you would see me wearing red every Friday. Maybe others can take up the baton with me.

WHAT? A post below says that Trump is wrong to identify Canada as a NON-PAYER!

OF COURSE CANADA PAYS NO BILLS - from 2015 Trudeau stopped paying for our defence from China and started paying China to interfere!

We don't pay NATO and we don't have a military since Trudeau got elected and started financing China espionage.

I'm guessing this is how NATO will negotiate the ability for US to defend the security of Greenland. Denmark has, since 2019, promised increasing sums is money to defend Greenland, but has only spent 1% of the relatively small amt promised in 2019. It has therefore failed in its NATO security commitment & NATO has an interest in ensuring our shared security by asking the US to take over this function

Secondly, Greenland is an autonomous region of Denmark, so if the Greenlanders are happy that someone (the US) is securing their island vs no one...

"Yes, NATO requires that member countries secure their own borders as part of their fundamental obligations to the alliance. While NATO provides a collective defense umbrella, each member nation is primarily responsible for the security of its own territory.

Key details regarding this requirement include:

Individual & Collective Responsibility: Under Article 3 of the North Atlantic Treaty, members are required to maintain and develop their "individual and collective capacity to resist armed attack".

National Defense: With the exception of Iceland, all NATO members maintain their own national armed forces, which are responsible for the day-to-day security of their respective countries.

Border Security Focus: Particularly for countries on the alliance’s eastern flank (e.g., Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland), securing borders against potential aggression is a top priority, involving the construction of fences, surveillance systems, and the deployment of national troops.

Resilience Requirement: NATO's definition of "resilience"—the ability to withstand or recover from a crisis—includes the capacity of national authorities to handle civil emergencies, including immigration control and border security.

Pre-Membership Requirement: Countries with active, unresolved border disputes or conflicts are generally expected to resolve them before joining, as potential new members must demonstrate that they can contribute to security rather than just consume it.

While NATO provides support (such as multinational battle groups on the eastern flank), it does not take over the responsibility of border security from the sovereign nation. "

Of crse, IF the above is true with respect to Greenland's inability/unwillingness to fulfil its security obligations under NATO, it would presumably also apply to Canada's North, the NWT and Yukon, which are indigenous territory....

well with Doug Ford against Chinese EVs, just to favour himself...well, although I don't really want one ....I hate Ontario and Ford so much, I think I might buy two!

Marc, when you say about Ryan Wedding, that's one less bad guy behind bars, don't you actually mean that's one more bad buy behind bars?

The Orange Man's slander of the performance of other NATO countries' performance in Afghanistan is insulting to our Canadian troops. People often say that Trump is crazy, but Daniel Davis has recently suggested that he actually may be crazy, suffering from Joe Biden-style dementia. If that should be the case, he is only going to get worse; he won't ever get better.
