James Edward Plover, previously convicted of strangulation and uttering threats, is now accused of murdering his estranged wife in a broad-daylight hammer attack, just hours after being released from custody.
According to police, two women were returning from their lunch break on the afternoon of July 4 when the suspect allegedly attacked and beat both of them with a hammer in a busy Kelowna, B.C., parking lot.
