Police have charged two men with embezzling funds from a Calgary non-profit. One of the accused is a British Columbia man who was previously charged with manslaughter.
If the directors of the Bowness Ratepayers Scout and Guide Hall Association in Calgary had requested a police background check on Mizera and Bredo, would it have revealed Bredo's criminal history in BC? I have no knowledge of how extensive these background checks are.
