Man charged with alleged sex crimes involving minor
Carl Fernandes, 55, was charged after allegedly approaching a minor and sexually assaulting the child.
A 55-year-old man is facing multiple sexual offence charges following a police investigation into two separate incidents in Richmond Hill late last year.
York Regional Police say the incidents occurred in December 2025 at businesses in two different areas of the city.
Following a four-month investigation, York Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit determined both cases involved the same individual. On April 15, 2026, officers arrested and charged Carl Fernandes, 55, of Markham.
