Majority of Canadians fear impact of AI data centres on communities
Eighty-one per cent of respondents said they are concerned about the prospect of data centres leading to spikes in their monthly household power bills.
The vast majority of Canadians are worried about how artificial intelligence data centres will increase their electricity bills, as well as the amount of water they’ll require, affecting their environment.
According to a new survey conducted by polling firm Leger, 81 per cent of respondents said they are concerned about the prospect of data centres leading to spikes in their monthly household power bills.
