A notorious protest group known for trying to gum up the Canadian electoral system by fielding as many candidates as possible is preparing to meddle in the upcoming Terrebonne, Quebec, by-election.

The Longest Ballot Committee’s spokesperson, Tomas Szuchewycz, told the Globe and Mail that “volunteers are out collecting signatures for Terrebonne,” a by-election slated for next month after its initial results were overturned by a court in response to a dispute over a single mail-in ballot.
