Great article - Lindsay/Juno; I feel for this poor lady, she said nothing but facts. It was not emotional, her post was stated in a non-offensive way. Let me say the offensive side that wasn't in her post - why are the Natives who received millions and millions of dollars to exhume bodies not spending it on that? Why is it spent on 'consultants' and 'grief coucilling'? There is nothing to grieve on this topic of graves that are completely unproven. This whole thing is a scam - pure and simple, it is being used to steal money to line the pockets of chiefs and the 'elites' of the tribes. No bodies = these aren't graves.

I do agree with her. This is what Canada has come to a lot of untruths being told across the country, mostly by MSM

If you tell a lie often enough and loud enough it will be believed. The natives have learned well from the Liberals. The ones that suffer are the Canadian taxpayers, again.

We should demand an apology from the first nations regarding their false claim of mass graves at residential schools - these claims are false and we can't have "truth or reconciliation" until the first nations step up and publish an apology for their falsehoods. Ms. Shepherd should not have been fired - the first nations should be called out and the $40billion from Trudeau returned.

Yes Canadians/Taxpayers should insist on at least One Call to Action from indigenous, an apology for the unearthed bodies scam perpetrated to feed White Guilt (baseless as it is) and extract more dollars and concessions.

Good riddance..I heard CBC is looking for gullible, manipulative cowards to spread their hate and lies..Gotta feeling you're looking for a job pretty quick..and you'll be a great fit..

..OH...I have 2 bro-in-laws..one Mohawk and one Ojibwa who, during the first weeks of the Res. School report going public, said it was bullshit..started by Justin..to cause division and chaos..something Trudeau proved when he announced a National Truth and Reconciliation Day (paid ONLY for Gov't "workers" ) then F$#Ked off to Tofino....and that same Gov't cancelled supporting the "search" for and recovery of the remains...THEN paid billions of OUR tax $$$ (about $300,000 EACH) to reconcile (bribe) the qualifying Natives across Canada. Those same Natives who were furious when Justine pulled the plug on the recovery now have the funds to pool and contribute to recover those bodies..I'm sure they'll keep us updated on their efforts..

The fact is NO BODIES HAVE BEE FOUND. How is this "racist?" It's baffling to me that NO ONE seems to be asking for PROOF of said bodies. It's because there is none & its being used to promote a racism that doesn't exist. Human Rights Tribunals have been corrupted as well. The fact that Canadians are either too apathetic or too lazy to question crap that is disseminated as truths is worrisome & our country is at risk because free speech isn't allowed anymore - just propaganda that the mainstream media & government spews! It's disgusting!!

Thank you for kicking the door open Lindsay/Juno News.

John Rustad poisoned the well when he welcomed BC United members into the BC Conservative Party. Many true conservatives questioned the decision then. It was a very poor choice.

It is time for a new leader with realistic expectations on power. Better to be a strong voice for conservatism than a pale blue liberal.

Originally, I glossed over the news that Ms. Shepherd had done 'something wrong.' Now I find that Mr Rustad had caved over 'pressure' from two skittery politicians. For shame! Ms. Shepherd should receive back pay, reinstatement and an official apology.

"Residential school denial is a terrible, racist sickness that is given public expression with impunity in this province and in this country." Stewart Phillip Chief

This is how he set you up. You were NOT denying that there were Residential Schools in Canada. You were saying it is ridiculous to have an Orange Shirt/Flag Day in remembrance of a story that was likely invented and never PROVED…that unmarked graves were found at a Kamloops school. I am so SICK of this story and agree 100% that historical invention should not be promoted nor celebrated. How much more of indigenous history is invented? That is the question stories like this, unless proven, promote.

Thank you for the article Lindsay. I personally have to say I have no problem with your “Statement” or anything in your article. The biggest shock is you were fired by the leader of the party that should know better and should also be shouting your message from the mountain tops. Facts fortunately always matter but the madness of non factual information has to stop.

It appears that the B.C. Cons. party is slowly unravelling. Rustad's heavy handed approach in managing his party's caucus is going to give the public the appearance that they are not ready or fit to govern. His inability to unite the various factions and to show the strength of conviction in addressing public issues demonstrates his inability to show leadership, take a stand and show your caucus you are resolute in your convictions. Now it is all about him and not the concerns of those who elected him, too bad, just handing more ammo to the N.D.P. and alienating his base.

Lindsay Shepherd is paying a steep price for telling the truth. She joins truth tellers, like Frances Widdowson, Jim McMurtry, Dallas Brodie and Jim Heller on what is a growing list. Here’s what should happen: Canadians should insist that the ground penetrating radar work at Kamloops be repeated by the RCMP with a competent operator and the plans of the 1924 sewage trenches that the original operator almost certainly detected. No soil needs to be disturbed.

I did not know about the sewage trenches. I knew about the scam it was turned into. How awful that some Indians conspired to turn sewage trenches into fictional 'Mass Graves" in a massive Liberal-run psy op against Canada - for money and power. Why has no one been charged for these criminal offences? Why were Barber and Lich tormented for two years instead? What kind of country has this become?

And what an unpardonable insult to the Indians (from "Indigenes" (eng. Indigenous Peoples).

During the era of residential schools in particular Kamloops: it was in close proximity to the Sanitorium since known as Kamloops Inland hospital. During the the 40's there was a TB epidemic throughout the Caribou and especially the Rez in the area. The Sanitorium was filled with patients the only remedy at the time was quarantine. It wasn't high priority. My husband was a young kid working on his uncles ranch on holidays. There were others there from the Rez and everyone caught TB and spent over a year in the Sanitorium. He often talked about his experience and the fact there was no proper management until they found the source and eradication. People died both in the the Sanitorium and School but during his stay he did not recall seeing any burials. They were removed immediately and taken away to be disposed.

There are too few real conservatives in BC to ever elect a government. BC is teaming with liberal snow flakes. Rustad knows he has to appeal to moderate snow flakes to have a chance at taking power from the NDP. That means he has to compromise on the conservative values of his base. This never works because you only reveal yourself to be a fraud. He's doomed.
