Liberals scrap justice task force for victims of flight shot down by Iran

A task force launched by Global Affairs Canada to help the victims' families of Flight PS752 has quietly been disbanded.

The task force created by Global Affairs Canada to secure justice for Canadians killed after a missile strike fired by Iranian forces shot their flight down has been disbanded.

In January 2020, 55 Canadians aboard Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 were killed after the plane was shot down by Iranian anti-aircraft missiles. Another 30 permanent residents and 53 others died in the crash.
