The federal Liberal government is moving to roll back several of its own Trudeau-era justice reforms with new legislation to toughen bail and sentencing laws.
Sure they do! Anything to attempt to stave off their approaching demise as a relevant political party! But in reality will it be enforced? Probably not except for those they deem undesirable or opposed to their Globalists puppeteers agenda and the destruction of Canadas economic viability and control over its Natural Resources.
Exactly. All that needs to be done is to enforce existing laws and CANCEL bail for certain crimes, especially for newcomers: no slack, learn the laws or gtfo. No nuance. No weasel words. You remain in prison till trial.
"In R. v. Bissonnette (2022), the Supreme Court struck down mandatory consecutive parole ineligibility periods for multiple murders, finding they violated section 12 of the Charter, which protects against cruel and unusual punishment, by effectively eliminating any realistic chance of release."
What is cruel and unusual is murdering someone. And it's even more unusual to murder more than once. Let's be clear, murder is murder, and if one is willing to kill someone, then they should be willing to forfeit their life in return. For first degree murderers, it is up to the individual to weigh that consequence against the act that they are contemplating. I suggest that to alleviate this so-called cruel and unusual punishment, is to end the murderers life quickly and painlessly, so that their lifetime in jail is spared.
It appears to be a critical point of the Trudeau Liberals that are still taking up space in the House of Commons regarding there attempts to save them from defeat if there is an election any time soon. Bail reform and catch and release legislation has not been important but all of a sudden it is . Unfortunately there is a whole lot of things other than bail reform holding up the development and delivery of Canada’s natural resources and the creation of Canadian jobs across the country . The only thing you know is when it comes to talk it is way different than dates with a commitment to get started, which has been what has happened for the last 6 months .Like Trudeau the present leader is never at question period or even in the House of Commons thus the title Carbon Carney jetsetting around the world instead of taking care of business in North America where we live and work.
It's the Liberals...
"Progress being made... " blah.. blah.. blah...
"Talks have been productive..." blah.. blah.. blah...
"Liberals PROPOSE..." blah.. blah.. blah...
"Consultations are under way..." blah.. blah.. blah...
... BUT ... It's the Liberals so the standard Liberal theme applies..
Little to nothing happens... EVER

The Liberals are nothing but agents of chaos disguised as a government.
We will see! I don’t trust anything the Liberals say.
I guess the Libtards are finally listening to the Conservatives who have been pushing these changes for years, jail not bail, about time!

Tougher, one day longer is jail, and sign a promissory note to join the liberal communist party.
