Liberals prevent questions on ambassador's Century Initiative leadership
Liberal MPs shut down questions from Conservatives and Bloc Québécois MPs, shielding Canada’s ambassador to the U.S from having to answer for his support of open border policies.
Liberal MPs, including the chair of the foreign affairs committee, defended Canada’s ambassador to the U.S. as opposition members sought to question him about past statements opposing supply management and his role in developing an open-borders plan to grow Canada’s population to 100 million by 2100.
Mark Wiseman, a former BlackRock executive and co-creator of the mass immigration plan known as the “Century Initiative,” testified before the House of Commons standing committee on foreign affairs on Thursday. Bloc Québécois and Conservative MPs questioned whether his past advocacy disqualifies him from representing Canada.
