Both the Liberal immigration minister and the health minister admit that they don’t track how many medically trained doctors the Liberals bring into the country actually become doctors.
From my experience in finding a Dr., I'd say virtually none. After 6 tries of foreign ones, which I wondered if they were fake, I finally found one. But he was a local boy trained here in the province. I think that government should put their money for healthcare where it belongs, in hospitals and training new Drs.
Someone needs to ask a Provincial Health minister: Are family doctors given an incentive to take on non-citizens as patients? (So is a permanent resident, refugee, and citizen, treated differently by a practice. I guess they are.]
