Liberals dish out $64M for Quebec’s steel sector days before byelections

The Liberal government announced nearly $64 million in support for Quebec’s steel and metal processing sector just days away from a critical byelection that will likely see Prime Minister Mark Carney secure a majority government.

Industry Minister Mélanie Joly announced Tuesday that Ottawa will provide $63.97 million to 99 small and medium-sized businesses through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
