A former Canadian tech executive, now living in the U.K., is demanding that educated Canadians who leave to take jobs in the U.S. pay a massive $500,000 exit fee, claiming taxpayers deserve to be repaid for subsidizing their education.
While speaking at the Liberal party’s national convention in Montreal alongside Industry Minister Melanie Joly over the weekend, Patrick Pichette, former chief financial officer of Google, proposed a radical solution to brain drain.
