Liberal MPs at a Commons science committee meeting attempted to shut down a Conservative MP who asked the federal government’s top science adviser to define what a woman is, arguing the question was “highly offensive” because it was Pride Month.

On Tuesday, Conservative MP Vincent Neil Ho asked Dr. Mona Nemer to define what a woman is during a Standing Committee on Science and Research, but was met with heckling and outrage from Liberal MPs.
