And there it is again. The Elbows Up Regime plays its " consensus " card thereby having to avoid making a decision in this farce called " Team Canada ".

Very elegantly and succinctly put.

"Smith said she’d know within a matter of days" She is on borrowed time. The dead line has come and gone, Gray Cup Day. Even if possible, a MOU is not enough, it does not address the real problems, it may not even correct the attacks on Alberta from ottawa in the last few years.

It is time to move forward, we need a vote on Independence.

Deborah Thompson's avatar

And meanwhile, the Liberals have already approved an LNG facility off northern BC shores! THEY have jurisdiction over resources, but they are using Eby as a scapegoat for their favouritism stance on resources - and HE should simply butt out! Also, the Americans ply these waters between Alaska and California on a regular basis, “fully loaded”! But no, we can’t allow our own product to get to international markets…. I don’t know how premier Smith keeps her cool!

Franz Kafka's avatar

She is way beyond her pay grade in this little squabble with the Rat King in Ottawa.

With her in charge, no referendum can likely ever succeed. That would likely be true of anyone reared in the utterly corrupt Canadian, colonial political .democracy..

Tech Buzzard's avatar

I think there are just too many communists in Alberta now to have any chance that independence would happen.

Maybe they'll be runout of town with no job. Send them to diperland.

A pathetic act, possibly of sabotage, by Danielle Smith. I will never forget that cultic 'hand shake' with Trudeau, which she covered for instead of taking the opportunity to reveal who, and what, really runs Canada.

I fear the only hope remaining for an independent nation arising on the ruins left by Trudeau, Harper and now Carney, is a rational act by Donald Trump - the annexation of British Columbia to unite the mainland USA to its vast and strategically vital lands of Alaska.

Can this country be any more dysfunctional? Most likely yes. No other country in the world works so hard holding back prosperity.

Deborah Thompson's avatar

It is simply sickening! 😡😡

Franz Kafka's avatar

It is not a country. It is a group of squabbling colonies, by design. Did you not notice that The King is back?

No racial group should have veto power over the building of a pipeline.

Gary's avatar

They just keep promising grandiose projects and ideas to make Canada great again (MCGA) and then keeping finding excuses why they cannot go ahead with them.

Ken Kimberley's avatar

There is no tanker ban! Oh, I know that the Trudeau government put one in place to stymie Alberta, but the reality is that tankers ply those waters every day taking oil from Alaska to the US. What's the difference between tankers from Alaska and tankers from Canada?

John Ravenhill's avatar

I don't think bc will agree to a pipeline no matter what. Between the dippers and the indians, they will quash any attempt. I think the best route to tidewater is through Saskatchewan and Manitoba to Churchill. The only thing Danielle Smith will realize is it feels good to not beat your head on the wall of obstantince. The only thing indians don't say no to is more money which comes from industry.

Doug Stephens's avatar

And the gang of paid protesters of the Indian Industry are yet to be unleashed.

only2truth's avatar

Hi John. I lived in The Pas and a Churchill route was talked about often. It is not a new topic as some think. It is extremely hard to maintain the rail line because it passes over muskeg and causes the line to shift. Rail line companies seem to avoid this route; possibly because of the cost-profit issue.

Don Hrehirchek's avatar

Technology can some times alleviate these problems. Not cure them but help to work with them. Just need the will power and government to step out of the way.

only2truth's avatar

Hi Don. Share your ideas about this technology. Thanks. Extreme freezing, thawing, heaving cause a lot of damage; just like highways. Because steel is used you would have to come up with material that can handle that.

Don Hrehirchek's avatar

We use technology here in Yukon as many of our highways are on perma- frost. I do not what they use to "combat" these problems as Our Highways department are the ones that use tech. Along with Alaska as they have the same problems . Sorry can not be more specific.

Liberals plan is to further destroy Canada. They think censorship laws are more important than building our export energy sector dealing with crime mass immigration cost of living unemployment India and China tariffs and getting a deal with US that the master negotiator said he was the guy to do! Complete failure in every way and on every promise but Liberals are so close minded they still support this clown as mass spending on nothing useful drives our economy in to the ground! The next generation so screwed ! Debt costs > total GST revenue. Think of that every time you buy something!😳🤮

RobertM's avatar

Come on Danielle call the Liberal's bluff, forget about useless negotiations with green grifters and slack jawed left wing extremists. They and their subsidized legacy media are using and abusing you and Alberta, get on with separation, save yourselves as the rest of Canada goes bankrupt.

Allby's avatar

We all know the libtards a lying on all fronts the federal government does not need BC or Indian approval they are both making a stink for money, it always money

mooligan007's avatar

Last time I looked no one in BC voted for any fucking indians to have any sort of veto power, the pathetic eby and ndp just gave it to them with no consensus from the people, fuck eby and fuck the indians. The feds have the power to push this th4u but of course carnage is relying on eby and those unelected grifters to say no, all part of the plan. The con man's stick insect hag is ecoterrorist just like guiltybert and pretty sure she is the one wearing the the strap on. Canada is a joke.

David James's avatar

Alberta Divorce. It's time.

William Stewart's avatar

The ass who looked best in an orange jump suit strikes again.

Then again for pretty much all the Liberals these days there are a lot of not nice words for them.

Ass may be one of the kindest.

No surprises though....

Perhaps a new Liberal slogan ... Not that new but totally applicable ...

NOT IN THIS FOR YOU

Being able to swear here from time to time is so refreshing. Thank you Juno.

An additional major issue is the opposition of Quebec to all pipelines. Our current Minister of “Canadian identity” ( whatever that is) is really a Seperatist Grifter from Quebec who will stick with the Liberals as long as they tow the line on wacky environmental policies.

Franz Kafka's avatar

The rich irony of the existence of such a 'Ministry' is that the last goat-fuc*er-in-Chief of the country claimed that "Canada has no national identity." I wonder where they found the cook-book to bake one?

Wayne Nicholson's avatar

Why is Gullible even commenting on this issue ?

Doug Stephens's avatar

I think the criminal activist Guilbeault still thinks he heads up the climate apocalypse narrative.

Alf Rudd's avatar

It seems that the only way the energy industry survives in Alberta, is if Alberta itself survives by negotiating it's own deals 'independent' of the corrupt Libtards.
