Liberal international trade minister heads back to China

International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu will meet with Chinese communist government officials in Guangzhou.

The Liberal government’s deepening engagement with China is continuing next week, with International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu set to travel back to the People’s Republic of China on April 12–14, where he says he will promote expanded economic ties and market access with the communist nation.

According to a Global Affairs Canada news release, Sidhu will attend the China International Consumer Products Expo in Haikou before travelling to Guangzhou, where he is expected to meet with communist government officials.
