The illegal emergency act is the reason citizens need a real second amendment.

Roger Morais123's avatar

Let' go right to the root of the problem . Does PET sound familiar as he brought his sperm into the world. And look at the damage 'it' created.

Good Canadian citizens with guns, stop bad People and bad Governments that want to take our guns.

Dennis Cross's avatar

“While participation is voluntary, abiding by the law is not.”

They were law abiding when the guns were purchased. What makes them now criminals is communist style laws that were declared without ever being voted upon by elected representatives. I own sporting guns, but none of the type being made illegal, but this is outrageous. By an order in council they can convert a legal citizen into a criminal? Yes, we Albertans must separate ourselves from this lunacy. Free Alberta!!!

Franz Kafka's avatar

Creating bad laws and applying them retroactively is a violation of both law and reason.

Transformative Outlook's avatar

Federal Government has no idea who has guns unless you report it to them.

Provinces have stated they will not enforce the illegal seizures.

Liberals are scared stiff of insurrections post Communist China and Quatar deals.

Anthony Tasker's avatar

I wonder if they even notice what people think

William Stewart's avatar

OH...

They notice.

They care not.

This is a process of making criminals out of those how obey the law and letting the criminals off while talking to talk but never walking the walk.

Anthony Tasker's avatar

Yes that's right ... inverting truth and morality ... Satanism

William Stewart's avatar

Maybe Carney should be living at 666 Sussex Dr.

Don Hrehirchek's avatar

More so what people actually know. I think the lieberals do not know how to think themselves and only serve as puppets for the who, un, and all the other communist entities.

Anthony Tasker's avatar

They are all compromised ... that's for sure

Logan's avatar

Except for Quebec which still requires the Provincial citizens to register long guns. Another reason I am glad I don't live in Quebec.

William Stewart's avatar

There was a reason that almost 300 years ago now the folks who founded one of the greatest countries in the world (perhaps again but who knows) embedded in their Constitution (something foreign to Canada and Canadians, that being an actual Constitution that means something as they have this thing called "A Charter or Rights and Freedoms" applied selectively by their Government and generally, not always, not applied on behalf of Canadians by their Judiciary. Exceptions, as recently against weird sock jerk do apply.)

In any case... This is your incompetent, corrupt and control obsessed Liberal Government.

One that is likely (as it should be I suppose) afraid of its own law abiding citizens.

There is a reason they want to take your guns and make you criminals if you do not give up your means of defending yourself from criminals and others (Liberals perhaps consider themselves "the others").

That is because they themselves are the criminals and don't want you to ever be able to defend yourself should that day happen and it just might sooner than later.

My guns are not for sale!.

If every lawful gunowner would take that stand then there is nothing this anti Canadian Federal crime cartel can do.

Mad Max's avatar

from the amount they got in, looks like many are not declaring them or maybe there are not as many out there as they make out

We take that stand. Not budging.

Tatanka's avatar

So far only 34 people took that stand.

Now you know why Canada is in the fucked up state it is.

No one has the balls to stand up against this Liberal crime cartel.

What a fucking shame.

If I had a gun, I would NOT COMPLY. Government has no business seizing MY ASSET THAT I PAID FOR & USE LEGALLY!! This is B.S. & there is a reason they're going after us but so far, Canadians are too apathetic to understand what is going on. Get yourself a Byrna for protection. So far, they're legal in Canada & are not a lethal weapon but are good for self-protection. I'm ordering one for myself & for my spouse.

Codebra's avatar

It’s illegal to carry *anything * for the purpose of self-defense in Canada, including non-lethal weapons.

geVL's avatar

True.......but if I need self-defense, that won't stop me. I will NOT comply.

Lady in Simcoe was charged with a water pistol assault, and a drug addict tried to rod a variety store and was beaten with a baseball bat he intended to use only to get himself beaten,, and guess what?,, clerk was charged with assault. ONLY IN CANADISTAN

Fred W.'s avatar

I used to carry a baseball bat in my car on the off chance I might someday be confronted by a physical threat. A friend of mine who was in law enforcement told me to make sure I carried a baseball and glove with the bat otherwise I could be charged with carrying a concealed weapon. So that's what I did. Now that I'm nearly 70 I just carry a stout, wooden cattle cane.

We learned last week from the CCP that Canada no longer has a Liberal/NDP/Block socialist/communist/separatist coalition government, we now have a Liberal/NDP/Block communist/communist/separatist coalition government. The coalition government has control of the courts, judges, police, media, government bureaucracies as any authoritarian government has done during the history of the world. The one thing that differentiates Canada from other authoritarian governments is the citizens are still armed. Do not give up your guns in fact buy more.

Allow me to point out other tools in our quiver:

honesty; Carney lies very effectively. But if an honest person points out two things that he said that disagree with each other, such as his lies about his work history, it might lead people detect that he lied.

Unity: by sharing our knowledge on this website, we can learn useful knowledge.

tact: learn to deal with situations before they happen.

Knowledge: This is not the first time China has promoted communism in a country. https://www.theepochtimes.com/epochtv/ccp-targets-americans-using-disinformation-and-lawfare-5777963 is one expose of Chinese methods of subverting the USA. They have another show about how China and Cuba used Venezuela to infiltrate other South American countries from 1999 until 2019

the internet: Https://historicaltruthproject.com/2015/12/04/president-jorge-rafael-videla-he-saved-his-country-from-a-brutally-attempted-communist-takeover/

knowledge and honesty are power. Use them.

And how would somebody even know about the gun grab unless they are glued to the cbc news or somebody tells them ??? If I didn't see it here i would not even know about it ... Apparently they have made all the driving laws much stricter.... I guess we just find out about what's legal or not by watching the CBC , like the mask thing ... if you don't watch the TV or the social media you wouldn't even know about any of this stuff ... One day you just walk outside and everybody is staring at you because you're wearing brown shoes or something .... You might not even know until you are carted off to prison

Anyone in Canada with more than two functioning brain cells - including the crooks who are shoving this down our throats - understands that the program will accomplish nothing. As clearly demonstrated by their pilot projects.

Yet they persist, full speed ahead with this illogical scheme and its reported $1.2+ billion price tag - thank you Canadian Taxpayers.

There is only one, logical inference that can be made from this idiocy. The government does not care whether it works or not. What they do care about is 1.2 billion dollars.

Where does this money go now? It's not buying guns. Or what's more pertinent, where has it gone and into whose pockets?

It would not surprise me to discover that the bulk of this money will end up in Quebec pockets.

This entire scheme is beginning to take on the odour of yet another taxpayer-funded pork barrel.

Sherry 1's avatar

100% agree. Create a Program, throw a Billion or two of taxpayer money at it, then let the FRAUD begin. Same as Minnesota.

Peter Bradley's avatar

It will further reduce the purchasing power of the loonie. Once the loonie crumbles, they will claim a need for CBDC's. When inflation hits 300% in a year, the loonie will crumble.

Well, the first mistake that gun owners made was to register their firearms. So the feds are coming after "registered" gun owners, but not the criminal gun owners who didn't. Firearms are the "tools of the trade" for the average criminal. The second mistake was complying with the authoritarian government's rules. As sovereign individuals, we did not consent to being under any authority, and it's an individual's choice to own a firearm or any other item that may be prohibited or restricted. Besides, governments big and small are service corporations masquerading as elected bodies. No government corporation has the right to impose its will upon a sovereign individual any more than if Tim Horton's hired enforcers to confiscate other brand-named coffee from people who preferred not to buy the Tim Horton's brand. RM

Richard D Mullock's avatar

Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, we can't trust the RCMP. They're on a par with what the corrupt FBI was before Trump's second term. As a Canadian ex-serviceman, I'm familiar with hand-held weapons, but as a retired civilian, I have no reason to own a handgun, and I don't fear for my life from the actions of some bandit. Still, for anybody else, it's their choice. And I'm assuming that people who feel safer by owning one don't have criminal intentions. Despite any threat of a fine or arrest for owning a gun by the corporate government.....which is illegitimate by the way, it has no real authority over sovereign individuals. That point has to be made perfectly clear to any government official who threatens to arrest anyone contravening their "laws." And service corporations can only make rules, not laws or even bylaws. Among other things, that includes something as simple as a parking ticket, which, personally, I have challenged and not paid. The judicial system is part of the corporate government, and sovereign individuals are not under its control. RM

Mike Robinson's avatar

Harper ordered the registration records be destroyed. The RCMP swore they did that, but secretly downloaded the registry and hid it. In other words, the RCMP broke the law!

Mike's avatar

90% non-compliance coming. We will wait out this goverment for the next one. Nathalie Provost is a liar along with Anandasangaree. Provost claims numerous RCMP have shot with the SKS, bs. Anandasangaree clains 2000 guns stolen fron legal gun owners,bs. Provost claims that violent crime committed with guns are sportsmen not criminals. Will put money on it that this "amnesty" will be extended again in October.

Mark Sherman's avatar

There are plenty of examples of law enforcement firearms being stolen as well. So, by example, I guess they aren't responsible enough to possess them either?

Given the socialist policies of our current Authoritarian Liberal Government, makes you wonder.

Peter Bradley's avatar

Like you, I’m on the right. But my hunch is that people who never learned to behave themselves, will as adults, set out to control others. They resort to lies, selfishness, greed, hypocrisy, arrogance and a lack of gratitude for the freedoms they have.

Besides, we were sent to this world to learn. If everything were pure, we wouldn’t learn.
