There were more people there than could be seated (almost triple).
If it was not a life and death situation (and even then I am not sure of this).. The wait, I was told was going to be upwards of six to seven hours.
My visit was just this shy of "that" serious but fortunately I was told there was a 24 hour walk-in clinic but that they only spoke English there... (this was off the record but was not a problem).
When I was in Emerge I think I was one of the few who actually did speak English.
I went to the Walk-In Clinic and was helped within an hour.
A few days later I was telling my story to a buddy who told me that everybody who has lived here for a while knows of that clinic and avoids the Hospital Emergency area unless the problem is life threatening.
This is where we are at folks.
