Speaking Thursday, Solomon referenced a fresh investigation by the federal privacy commissioner into X, specifically around allegations of deepfakes and inappropriate AI image generation.

“I will also note that the privacy commissioner has started an investigation into X,” Solomon said, adding that the probe now includes deepfake-related activity.
