LGBTQ refugee with 39 convictions—including sexual assault—granted more freedom

A violent repeat offender deported from the U.S. to Guyana is being granted more freedom by the Ontario Review Board (ORB) despite remaining a “significant threat.”

Delroy Apple’s criminal record began with U.S. drug convictions in 2005 and includes 39 Canadian convictions between 2012 and 2018, including sexual assault, armed robbery, assault with a weapon and assaulting a peace officer, according to the National Post.
