LEVY: While Canada starves, Carney hands Gaza another $100M
Sue-Ann Levy writes, "I have to believe that this latest handout was to make our highly narcissistic prime minister look like a big man on the world stage."
Foreign affairs minister Anita Anand — who is absolutely obsessed with denouncing the Jewish state — informed us last Friday that her government is giving another $100-million in aid to Gaza.
With glee in her voice, her mouth twisting as it does whenever she speaks, the worst foreign minister ever (which is difficult to admit given Melanie Joly’s dismal performance) said this brings to a “half a million dollars” the aid to the people of Palestine since 2023.
Someone should inform this horrid woman that there is no such country as Palestine, even though the phoney boss she adores — Mark Carney — announced last September that he recognizes the Palestinian state.
I have to believe that this latest handout was to make our highly narcissistic PM look like a big man on the world stage as he headed to Paris to rub shoulders with another anti-Semitic fool, French president Emanuel Macron, and to the G7 in Evian, where he will no doubt peddle his “New World Order” propaganda.
It is also likely payback because Carney can’t control what is happening in the West Bank and seems not to understand, or care, that Palestine Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, is corrupt and in his 20th year as president. Elections there are neither free nor democratic and Abbas is still engaged in his evil pay-to-slay (an Israeli) scheme.
(Perhaps Carney has a particular affinity for the Abbas’s finer qualities)
That notwithstanding, this latest handout for the perennial victims of Gaza (the majority of whom support Hamas and are adept at victimhood) is deliberate and malevolent.
Since when does a country in a recession, where groceries have become crazy expensive to the point of being unaffordable, think it should shell out another $100-million to give to a territory run by sadistic terrorists?
Carney is so out of touch that he thinks providing $1,890 per year in a grocery benefit for a family of four will do the trick.
My goodness, according to stats, the average monthly grocery cost in Ontario for a family of four ranges from $1,400 to $1,600 — so his “largesse” barely covers 30 days’ worth of food.
Be that as it may, this is the same Mark Carney who rolled into midtown Toronto in a series of gas-guzzling SUVs to inform enraptured Liberal Jews that he’s concerned about the tsunami of anti-Semitism in Canada.
The moneyed Jewish Liberals — who are happy to accept mere crumbs — heard that he plans to set up a new ministerial advisory council on anti-Semitism.
Trouble is it has at least two anti-Semites on it (including Omar Alghabra) and DEI picks that have no understanding of geopolitics.
Most of us with half a brain noticed that not one member of this esteemed council attended last week’s Walk with Israel, which saw 60,000 participants.
But here’s where it was simply a performative exercise in hypocrisy.
The PM, a toxic narcissist, never once admitted that perhaps his repeated comments blaming Israel for all the ails the Mideast — together with the horrible Anand — plus expressing support for a Palestinian state and his government’s open borders to immigrants from Muslim countries that hate us, has greatly contributed to the anti-Semitism we see on our streets and online.
Here’s where the latest $100-million to Gaza comes in.
When the government issues a press release saying the money is being given because the “humanitarian crisis” in Gaza continues to intensify and there is rising “extremist settler violence” in the West Bank, it simply plays into the one-sided and dangerously inaccurate Hamas/terrorist sympathizer/media narrative that Israel is the root of all evil in the Mideast.
It ignores the brutal reality that Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, not only steals the food but also has no issue using innocent citizens as human shields.
It ignores the brutal reality that Hamas has and will use the money to feed themselves and is likely to rebuild their network of tunnels, so many of which kept the Israeli hostages in inhumane conditions for hundreds of days.
And it completely denies that the UN’s UNRWA agency and the Red Cross — which will distribute the money — were complicit in harbouring Israeli hostages and in the case of the Red Cross did absolutely nothing to help them.
Little wonder that a few days ago, I was informed I was inhumane by yet another ignorant Canadian (and former Toronto Sun contact) for not seeing the racism in Israel. This indoctrinated man even sent me the Instagram links of two Jew haters in keffiyehs to “educate” me.
It sickens me to think Carney and Anand, besides being virulently anti-Semitic, are likely providing another handout to shore up the Muslim vote in Canada, while Jew hatred rages on.
But at least I am reassured that I was right about Carney’s performance at Holy Blossom Temple two weeks ago.
It was all a cynical attempt to keep his moneyed Jewish donors in line, some of whom will support him no matter how much he batters them figuratively.
For certain, he doesn’t give a crap about Canada’s Jewish community.
Talk about throwing good money after bad.

Please Ms.Levy. I have no arguement with your position but I wish there was a stronger distinction of what is actually "given". The government has NO MONEY to give anybody. They simply print more debt onto our citizenry to pay at high rates of interest. People need the constant reminding that every rabbit "the government" pulls out of the hat is debt with compounded interest that is not servicing living standards in Canada.
He has no idea how bad off Canadians are!! And he just doesn't care!
