LEVY: Trump derangement blinds Canadians to their own decline
Sue-Ann Levy writes, "The low-information bullies will claim everyone feels the way they do, but I know there is a huge contingent of people who like what Trump is doing."
This past week, a FB friend and former Conservative politician posted a comment bashing U.S. President Donald Trump for sparring with Pope Leo XIV for his criticism of the war in Iran.
Trump called the Pope’s interference an attempt to appease the woke, radical left and he was right.
Now this friend has long loathed Trump, although I have never really heard his reasons why, much as the many people who repeat the claims narrated to them by the legacy media, both north and south of the border.
I believe he knew — and he intended to incite more hatred from his echo chamber of those with certifiable TDS.
I stumbled upon the post after several Canadian friends of his had expressed the predictable comments about Trump’s alleged dementia, that he needed to be impeached, that he was a rapist and a pedophile of young children and infants (especially love that one), a warmonger and just an all-around evil guy.
The hand-wringing was over the top.
Aside from the lack of critical thinking, I especially loathe it when his haters claim he has dementia.
I have suffered through years of watching both parents decline from Alzheimers/dementia and let me tell you, he may speak outside the box (which bothers many), but he is the furthest thing from demented.
In fact, I have this theory that the more he does to change global politics and to tighten up the borders of the United States — and the less our own PM Mark Carney does in contrast — the more TDS-afflicted Canadians hate him.
Maybe they resent his outspokenness or the fact that he’s decisive and fulfils his promises.
I suspect the Mark Carney sycophants feel more comfortable with mediocrity, politicians who lie and tell them what they want to hear, politicians who themselves deny the reality of what is occurring in the world.
Carney has shown repeatedly that he has no clue about geopolitics and the threats of radical Islamists.
It’s a sad statement about the state of affairs in Canada.
And the hate continues to ramp up the more Trump does.
That notwithstanding — and perhaps a tad naive about the backlash — I went on the thread and asked why the people commenting didn’t worry more about what was happening to Canada under our PM.
I didn’t even spell out all the concerns I have such as how he’s sided with the terrorist faction, emboldening anti-Semitism in Canada; his performative videos that attempt to indoctrinate the masses to think he’s really doing something; his constant use of the Building Canada Strong narrative when in fact he’s building nothing; the $500K he spent on food as he jetted around the world; a majority gained through sickening bribes of five weak politicians and of course, the recent Liberal convention during which he and his wife repeatedly said they are leading a, “New World Order.”
I merely suggested they were not paying attention to the reality of Canada around them.
I ignited a three-alarm fire.
For 24 hours, I was attacked by low-information voters who literally tried to mob and bully me online (they didn’t know who they were dealing with).
It was as if I was attacking their blissful comfort zone —and geez, how dare I?
They called me stupid, someone who doesn’t understand geopolitics or politics in general (even though I’ve been known to eschew groupthink about politics and political figures for more than 25 years).
For instance, I predicted Rob Ford would win as mayor in 2010. No one else in the media did.
They asked how I could support a pedophile and rapist, me, of all people, a lesbian! (showing that people like to pigeonhole one into a particular group of radical thought)
They called me a MAGA sympathiser and someone who just doesn’t get it.
A man from a small town in Ontario who harassed me for hours, told everyone not to pay attention to my “rants” (read: responses), calling them self-righteous and even petty.
Many comments were anti-Semitic.
Evidently, addressing their brain-dead bafflegab is now considered self-righteous.
This director of a Montessori school in Oakville didn’t much like my reference to TDS. He wrote these long unhinged comments lecturing me about my support of Trump, saying Trump doesn’t care about Jews — even though his son-in-law and his grandkids are Jewish:
“Sue-Ann Levy …if YOU do not have a hatred for Trump yourself, I’m scratching my head?!!! Doesn’t everybody hate that monster? You were entirely inaccurate in saying Canadians have all been taught to hate Americans. Most of us hate the madness, grift and war mongering of this insanely incompetent and corrupt administration. Trump BTW is no more a friend of your community than he is of any other. He is a world class grifter and narcissist simply doing Netanyahu’s bidding out of sheer fear of exposure. Running from the law and The Files that would clearly sink him. As for Carney, labelling him as a narcissist is laughable! Smart leaders don’t waste their time or energy dealing with maniacal despots. As for saying Carney supports terrorism… that’s like saying David Suzuki supports Big Oil!🤦🏼♂️”
It was like I’d ventured into an upside-down world.
Yet I saw proof in this thread that, as much as I loathe what he is doing, Carney has done a very good job of indoctrinating weak minds and of convincing the same low-information, CBC/CTV media types and viewers that he’s actually building Canada.
The low-information bullies will claim everyone feels the way they do, but I know there is a huge contingent of people who like what Trump is doing, but, unlike me, remain silent for fear of being bullied and intimidated.
I know they will wake up one day. But I fear it will be too late.
Meanwhile, I have no intention of stopping my efforts to inject some common sense into the discourse.
Let them marinate in their own misery.

God Bless President Trump
I only wish we had him leading Canada
Thanks for this post, Sue-Ann, and your continued efforts to educate these folks who don't really know what's going on.
