LEVY: Chow’s ICE video makes Toronto a global laughing stock
In what appears to be a staged video outside her City Hall office, Olivia Chow warns ICE to stay out of Canada during the FIFA World Cup.
It isn’t enough that Canada is the laughingstock since Prime Minister Mark Carney cozied up to the dictators in China.
But now we have Toronto mayor Olivia being mocked on American social media sites for her recent video about ICE.
In what appears to be a staged video outside her City Hall office, she warns ICE to stay out of Canada during the FIFA World Cup, scheduled for early June.
She relays her scripted message in her usual broken English.
The video makes it seem that she’s being asked a question by a journalist but I’m going to bet it was one of her puppeteers from Progress Toronto— the group of radical left activists and grifters who are working to keep her in office.
There is absolutely nothing progressive about this group, which consists of Jew-hating radicals and activists who use fearmongering and perpetuate lies about their opponents to gain followers.
It behoves me that so many are manipulated by their propaganda.
But I guess if one repeats a lie long enough, it becomes believable.
It’s clear Progress Toronto was pushing this nonsense, which Toronto’s braindead councillors voted to support 21-1.
That said, Chow’s foolishness made several social media sites, including this well-read American FB page.
I’m not sure what we did to deserve this incompetent, silly, sophomoric woman as mayor, but there is so much wrong with this, I don’t know where to begin.
I suspect she expects to win the next election in October with her Mandami-esque theatrics.
But anyone with insight knows that while ICE has a presence in Canada, it is merely to protect questionable suspects from crossing the border into the U.S.
They can’t make arrests in Canada (although I wish they could).
Those of us who pay attention and care about the city’s decline under her watch know that, besides the fact that socialists think virtue signalling is their job, it is intended to divert attention from the mess she and council have made of Toronto.
Our exorbitantly high property taxes have not provided any better service whatsoever.
The roads are full of potholes and cracks; the streets and parks are a mess; the garbage bins are all broken and dilapidated and Chow couldn’t even get the snow removed in a timely manner this winter.
We all know how little the Toronto police did (likely at her direction) to stop the Jew haters from protesting and vandalizing Jewish spaces, which has led to shootings of synagogues, including my own.
(Speaking of which, will the Toronto cops ever find the perpetrators? I doubt that they’re even trying hard.)
Instead, our Marxist council has spent precious resources on street renamings, on safe injection paraphernalia to keep addicts addicted, more homeless shelters and social workers (Mandami-style) on the TTC.
In short, Chow is on the wrong side of every issue, as is council.
But now under siege by those critical of their decisions, they have adopted a bunker mentality, refusing to apologize for attacking constituents (the most recent example being Chris Moise) and stopping people from exercising their right to provide feedback at city meetings (such as Shelley Carroll has done regularly at the Toronto Police Services Board).
But never you mind.
Chow and her council Marxists have your back against ICE.
I knew she’d be a train wreck.
Sadly, she’s much worse than I ever expected.
