A legal challenge has been launched against the Quebec government’s decision to mail out voter information for the province’s upcoming election exclusively in French.

The challenge includes a request for a provisional interlocutory injunction as well as for a permanent injunction on the French-only election mail-outs. It’s seeking to immediately have English versions reinstated on the documents before the election takes place on Oct. 5.
