Legacy media ADMITS to protecting Carney
The Canadian Media Producers Association publicly pledged its support to Prime Minister Mark Carney while he attended its Ottawa convention.
During a weekend convention in Ottawa, the Canadian Media Producers Association publicly pledged its support to Prime Minister Mark Carney while he was in attendance.
Speaking from the stage, CMPA CEO Reynolds Mastin told the Prime Minister that everyone in the room — and the industry’s 180,000 workers — “have your back,” adding, “just as we know that you have ours.”
The comments came the same weekend Conservatives were holding their own convention in Calgary, where concerns were raised about media neutrality and government funding for news organizations.

Political commentator and social media influencer Mario Zelaya joins Marc Patrone to discuss the legacy media openly defending Mark Carney, and to explain why he believes the statement confirms long-standing concerns about the relationship between media outlets and the Liberal government.
Plus, Zelaya addresses tensions inside the Conservative convention after some attendees voiced complaints over influencer access.
