Conservative MP Andrew Lawton pressed Canada’s debates commissioner on Thursday over workplace harassment safeguards and media accreditation rules, drawing on his own past experience.
The entire makeup of the so-called Debates Commission should be terminated and started again from scratch.
The current debate commissioner is a plant and a trained seal and should be terminated as well.
A mechanism needs to be found to replace this self-serving dinosaur of an entity with something that reflects the desire of a growing number of Canadians who rightly no longer trust anything that the MSM says or does to get real questions asked (and answered).
That certainly applies to what happens in these debates.
The makeup of who gets to attend and ask questions has to be open, transparent and one that reflects the growing trust and power that Canada's Independent Media are showing.
Of course this is something that the old makeup of the Debates Commission appears to have little to no interest in doing.
Glad Andrew has brought this up, he was definitely being targeted in the past, much like what is happening now with other independent media. It really seems the msm are the antagonist is all this. Just look what happened at the last leadership debate when the Rebel crew was being demonized by the bought media. The debate commission is spineless.
Stay at it, Andrew. They need to be kept accountable for their failures, particularly in regards to fairness, or lack thereof. Pretty much everything in politics is essentially rigged any more, and it ll needs to be stopped.
