Lapu Lapu suspect receives three new murder charges

The lone suspect in the deadliest criminal mass casualty event in Vancouver’s history now faces 11 counts of second-degree murder — one for each person killed in a vehicle-ramming attack at a street festival in April.
Three new charges of second-degree murder against Adam Kai-Ji Lo, 30, were announced by Vancouver police on Tuesday.
In a brief statement, the Vancouver Police Department said Crown prosecutors laid the additional charges after reviewing evidence provided by homicide investigators.
Lo was previously charged with eight counts of second-degree murder following the April 26 attack at the Lapu Lapu Day festival hosted by Vancouver’s Filipino community. Police allege Lo drove his SUV through a crowd at the event, killing 11 people and injuring dozens more.
Among the dead were a five-year-old girl, two men and eight women. As of last week, at least six people remained in hospital with serious injuries.
Despite the unprecedented scale of the attack, police have released few details in the months since.
Investigators have said Lo was “known to police” and had a significant history of mental health-related interactions with authorities, including contact with police in a neighbouring municipality the day before the attack.
Lo is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for a hearing to determine whether he is mentally fit to stand trial. It will be his second court appearance this month.
Most details related to Wednesday’s hearing are subject to a court-ordered publication ban. However, a media consortium that includes The Canadian Press is planning a legal challenge to that ban.
No Judge should have the right the put a media ban on such an evil crime involving so many people, this judge should be fired, it is obvious that the mass murderer has more rights than the victims & their families, this is not justice but terrorist control freak attack to make all victims suffer even more, we need the right to veto these jokers and fire them..!!!
