i am pleasantly surprised this budding communist sees the light! Bring back the nut-houses & asylums -- feed 'em, medicate them, ensure docs see them, clean 'em up and maybe ...just maybe....a few will get steady and we can get them mental health care and possibly see them contribute to society. But it sure as F*** won't happen giving them free drugs and destroying the overall health and safety of our streets.

Excellent. This is actually caring for your people (including the addicts). THe BC policy is let them drop dead.

No wonder Kinew is so popular. His NDP must be secretly spitting bullets they will be so angry at this.

I am very pleased to see this common sense move from an otherwise typically left view of social issues. Good for Kinew & for the Conservatives supporting it. Of course the NDP would have to oppose any amendments the Conservatives are recommending...sigh, one step is better than none I guess.

It sounds like a good idea but what’s in the details? I think the conservatives are asking good questions. But for Kinew to say “it shouldn’t be a partisan issue” is a slap in the face. He makes everything a partisan issue! He’s only getting back what he has done to others.
