I feel certain that, realizing the suffering of their constituents, the people of Canada who pay them, the MPPs, understanding that their omissions and commissions have played a large part in that suffering, will refuse the raise for the sake of dignity, honour and solidarity.
One of them, rumor has it, has already done so. I am sure a tsunami of empathetic guilt will lead to a happy end and herds of MPPs and MPs will follow suit.
