Independent Press Gallery condemns Liberals after Bexte booted from press conference
The Independent Press Gallery is condemning the Carney-Liberal government for forcibly removing Juno News co-founder and reporter Keean Bexte from a press conference held at Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cabinet retreat.
Bexte was forcibly removed from the retreat right before Carney was set to speak alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a media availability.
The IPG, which is a collective representing independent journalists in Canada, is demanding answers for his removal, as no evidence had been presented that Bexte posed any risk to the two leaders’ security. Keep Reading
