Carney and Ford may have been in the room together, but Carney knew that he was going to have to deal with the fallout, and Ford knew it too. Once again, Ford just shows how readily he will put the responsibility for his actions off on to someone else. He's made a difficult situation worse. Now let's hope he pull the fat out of the fire.
Trump is the cause of the problem, and has been right from the start. Yesterday, I saw a posting on FB that said some Republicans are now moving to vote against the tariffs on Canadian goods. I know it's only on FB, but if there's any truth to it, it would mean that Carney's doing the right thing and hold out for the best deal for Canada.
I disagree, Trump was never our problem. The lying communist lieberal regime is our problem. Trump does not work for us, he works for the USA. And I disagree with you. 1/ The Liberals are hardly communistic. If anyone is dictatorial in any way it is Pierre Poilievre. He has actually said that he would demand people do as he says or suffer penalties, including withholding funding for projects. 2/ Trump approached trade negotiations with Canada as a trade war for things that he said were happening long before Trudeau was Prime Minister. Trudeau managed a decent deal with him, but then he threw that out. As for Alberta, they reportedly have the largest GDP in the country and the lowest taxes, and all they've been asked to do pay their fair share; just like everyone else. None of it makes any sense. The only positive thing that I can think of that would come out of Alberta separating would be that Pierre Poilievre would lose his seat in Parliament again.
