Is China meddling in Alberta's independence movement?

Alberta lawyer and independence advocate Jeff Rath is sounding the alarm on Chinese influence in Alberta, alleging that foreign interests are affecting the province’s political landscape and the future of the sovereignty movement.
On today’s episode of Straight Up with Marc Patrone, Rath details what he describes as a growing battle over Alberta’s political future and the forces he believes are shaping the province’s direction.
“If everybody knew how deep the problems we have in this province are, they would be shocked in terms of the amount of influence that China now has in Alberta, the degree of control that they’re taking over the NDP and various other political parties and organs.”

Rath also addresses his ongoing legal battle with a First Nation over disputed legal fees, rejecting accusations against him and saying the controversy is being used to distract from the independence movement. He dismisses criticism from former Alberta premier Jason Kenney as “payback,” tying it to their past political battles and Rath’s role in Kenney’s political downfall.
Plus, Rath takes aim at Elections Alberta over what he calls a double standard involving former Alberta cabinet minister Thomas Lukaszuk, accusing the agency of allowing Lukaszuk’s anti-independence campaign activity to avoid the same scrutiny and reporting rules faced by referendum organizers.
Finally, Rath weighs in on Mark Carney’s energy policies, Alberta pipeline proposals, digital ID concerns, and why he believes the province’s relationship with Ottawa has reached a turning point.

All the people who worked tirelessly for Independence will be criticized and punished by those have contributed nothing but nasty words. If they put as much effort in researching the facts instead of being Facebook idiots and main stream news believer’s they would actually be a useful citizen in the province of Alberta.
Mr Rath notes that ... "the province's relationship with Ottawa has reached a turning point."
That might qualify as the understatement of the 21st century.
I'm not sure where he's been these last 12 years or so, but Alberta's relationship with the cesspool that is Ottawa Politics, fractured, irrevocably, a long time ago. That fracture began with Trudeau-the-Elder but the actual turning point came when Trudeau-the-Witless was imposed on us - followed closely by his more-educated, but equally incompetent Doppleganger. That would be our new, de facto Commissar Carny.
There is no help for Alberta from the self-titled "Global Elites" that now run this country. Looking for it there is an utter waste of time and energy. Nor is there any help for the rest of Canada.
I apologise for all the negativity, but I've been screaming into this void for twelve years now, and it just keeps getting worse.
A famous sci-fi writer, Harlan Ellison, wrote a terrific short story a very long time ago that is becoming more and more pertinent. The title is "I have no mouth and I must scream."
Ellison (RIP) was an excellent writer, way ahead of his times.
