Totally agree with Gunter. Carney is setting Alberta up. He’ll walk away laughing saying his government gave approval but the NDP in BC stopped it. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve felt this way since the beginning. He’s playing both sides against the other & trying to calm the separatist movement in AB

It won't work though. The people know he can override the provinces on this. He will just make himself look weak and slimy like he really is.

Exactly...

He conned Parliament into giving him the exclusive power to over-ride everything..

Any and all objections can be made irrelevant.

Of course as he is a fake and a fraud...

That was never going to be the case...

Consultations.. Don't you know...

The (poor) excuse for the once wonderful country previously known as Canada to get absolutely nothing done.

Totally agree. Carney has lied so many times one cannot believe anything he says. Having a strong Alberta voice is the last thing he wants and he will try to crush any conservative voice he can just as he is doing through his propaganda media circus to the federal conservatives. The pipeline goes against his ideology.

Hope you are right.

Time will tell.

The clock is definitely ticking.

I am 100% on Smith's side but these days it is getting really hard to figure out the players and the exact nature of the game.

There will never be approval for a pipeline through any part of majority socialist Canada even when they freeze over with their windmills and sun panels.

Carney is such a weasel. He is trying to weasel his way out of this by blaming First Nations and Eby. What a coward.

We moved to BC in the late ‘80’s and have been thinking of moving back to Alberta. I am torn, do we stay in BC to fight against the socialist NDP, or to we move back to Alberta to fight for our home province’s sovereignty? Do we own a property that eby will give to the indigenous? What kind of idiot do 1/2 of the BC residents cast their votes for?

Grew up in PG in the 80s. Been out of the country 20+ years (in Korea). Want to move back to Canada but it looks crazy (really, I'm not joking, from the outside it looks worse I think because we weren't indoctrinated.) Anyways, considering Edmonton. Alberta and SK look the only sane places. (There's youtube of Charlie Kirk saying Edmonton and Calgary are the best parts of Canada.) Also saw the Christian musician did a concert at the Alberta legislature grounds, but was banned in most of the country. There's youtube of that, such normal people in the crowd.

Same old same old woke baffle gab from Carney and his liberal lap dogs! They want the world and Canada to be molded into their ideals and fantasies in the perverted sense that they alone can save the world from total destruction by emitting carbon, the actual fact is without carbon life would not exist period!! I fail to understand why the people do not understand this. On reason would be is that one can listen to many climate scientists and get different data and ideas, so it makes it difficult to cut through the information and find out what is reality. people should be more curious about all of this and then take a step back and ask what has occurred so far, the answer from my perspective is nothing. We have gone through an industrial revolution, which has launched us into a standard of living unparallel in history, the world population has ballooned to roughly 8 billion souls, and yet carbon has always been there, it's just that the elitists have figured out that they can impose a carbon tax on the world an in the process make themselves ultra rich! I f they were serious the first things they would do is scale down their opulent lifestyles and stop flying around the world in their polluting jets and create conditions that us mere serfs would be happy in! I am old and don't matter anymore but my children and grandchildren and great grandchildren do, so I see through their B.S. I know this won't happen unless people speak up and push back, Mr. Carney can take his values and shove them where the sun doesn't shine!

The entire country of Canada appears oblivious to what a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) document actually represents.

An MOU, although a formal document, is not legally binding. It merely shows the WILLINGNESS of each concerned party to take action to move the contract forward.

Carney has already voiced the resistance of Eby and the First Nation, as reasons (scapegoats) to stymy any pipeline. His “new fast track department” undoubtedly has already been “counselled” on what, how and why to reject a pipeline! However, remember this folks……by law, the PM has jurisdiction, ruling and final say!

Carney is a member of the WEF group that developed this Climate crisis scam, the taxation elements and the inevitable economic ruin it creates! Leopards never change their spots!! Carney has lied consistently to all Canadians and in particular to Danielle Smith. He has ZERO intention of the development of this or any other pipeline!

Premier Smith needs to throw her energies into a pipeline through Washington state and then to tankers off the US coast.

I would like very much to believe that Alberta is more astute than to give Carney a loophole as obvious as this appears to be. SMITH has proven to be on the ball and I hope that she doesn't let the feds off the hook by buying into dreams. No deal is far better than a bad deal in this case. Keep Carney worrying about Alberta separation. That is our number 1 card.

He has absolutely no intention of following through on this Memorandum of Understanding, this is just more smoke and mirrors.

This MOU is worthless and it’s not even binding, a waste of ink and paper.
