Independent Press Gallery of Canada president and Rebel News journalist Sheila Gunn Reid says massive taxpayers’ subsidies to news outlets have brought Canada into a “two-tier” media landscape, and one that excludes “millions of Canadians.”

Gunn Reid’s comments came as she testified before a Canadian Heritage Committee on the State of the Journalism and Media Sectors, where she said independent journalists are being pushed out, “not by the market, but by their own government.”
